How it would work

Five steps describe the intended path from a blank workflow to a governed, auditable one. This is the specification, not a description of shipped software.

Design intent: fully specified, not yet built
  1. Step 01

    Build the workflow

A builder assembles the process visually from trigger, condition and action steps, drawing on the shared step library rather than starting from scratch.

  2. Step 02

    Send it for approval

The draft goes to a named reviewer. Nothing is published while the workflow is unreviewed, and the reviewer is recorded against the version they signed off.

  3. Step 03

    Publish on sign-off

Once the named reviewer approves, the workflow goes live. Without that sign-off it stays a draft.

  4. Step 04

    Run under role-based access

Access control keeps building, approving and running separate, so the people who execute a workflow are not necessarily the people who changed it.

  5. Step 05

    Read the record

Each execution appears in the workflow's run history, with its error log available when a run fails.
